Inside each kit, you’ll find all the fabric needed to make a baby size quilt in the Louis pattern by Summer Flora Linen, a printed booklet copy of the pattern, a quilt care card for reference and gifting, and a thoughtfully chosen selection of sewing notions.

Quilt batting is not included.

The Details: Drop No. 1

This first drop is a limited quantity drop with two Louis Layette Quilt Kits available ~ Cornflower and Honeysuckle.

Fabrics included:

CORNFLOWER

Blue woven gingham with heart details for quilt top (cotton woven)
Premium white linen for quilt top (linen)
Blue hand-printed block floral cotton for quilt backing (cotton woven)

HONEYSUCKLE

Warm yellow woven gingham for quilt top(cotton woven)
Premium white linen for quilt top (linen)
Yellow hand-printed block floral cotton for quilt backing (cotton woven)

All fabrics are high quality and sourced intentionally. Please care for and prewash according to your preference. All hand blocked prints are printed 100% by hand. Because of this traditional process, block prints will experience a natural fade over time. The inks are color fast and won't bleed, but the gentle fade is part of their beauty and lends to their unique vintage look. Wash in cool water and hang dry or tumble dry on low/gentle.

Sewing notions included:

heirloom stork snips
sashiko sewing needles for hand sewing and/or binding
beeswax thread wax and holding case
leather coin thimble (my personal favorite thimble !)
rose gold notions tin for storage

Quilt Care

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then tumble dry low or lay flat to air dry. Your quilt will soften even more over time. Many quilters will was finished quilts with color catchers the first time a quilt is washed. If you choose not to prewash your fabrics, this may be helpful. If you'd like for your finished quilt to crinkle, you may choose to tumble dry a finished quilt on warm/hot after the first wash.

All sales on digital products are final. No returns or exchanges can be accepted on a .PDF download once purchased.

If you experience a technical issue with your download, please contact us to resolve.

For Fabric & Kits:

Returns on unused, unwashed, uncut fabric will be accepted if the return is initiated within 14 days of delivery.

For Heirloom Quilts:

Returns on unused, unwashed quilts will be accepted if the return is initiated within 5 days of delivery. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method upon inspection of the returned item.

For Custom Quilts:

All custom quilts with added personalizations (i.e. embroidery, patches...etc.) are final sale.
